What does our theme “Design in the Desert” mean to you? Is it Midcentury Modern? Is it combining the cultural landscape with a sense of place? Is it urban revitalization? Is it preserving the interior integrity along with exterior structures? Is it the careful planning of expansion or renewal in historic districts?

As we launch our Call for Sessions, it’s time to think how you and your organization can contribute to the content of the 2018 Arizona Historic Preservation Conference.

Our website will contain the on-line session submission feature that will be available beginning October 15. Please visit www.azpreservation.com and look for Session Submission in the main menu.

As you submit your recommendations for sessions, be sure to include some learning points (aka take-aways) that attendees will receive from your presentation. Also be sure to consider the theme in the description of your presentation. How is “Design in the Desert” identified and addressed in your session?

Lastly, the title of your session will tell 90% of the story. Be sure that it is clear, concise, and attractive enough to inspire attendees to learn about the topic.

Deadline for submission:  December 8, 2017 at 5:00pm MST.  Sessions are accepted on-line only.  Submission presenters will be notified by email whether or not their session was selected within 30 days.
