Ann Hutchinson is the volunteer Co-Chair of the Black Canyon Heritage Park (BCHP) where she has had an active role in the development and fundraising for this riparian preserve and programs since 2008. Prior to that, she had over 30 years working in private and public sectors as a training and process improvement specialist. Since 2006, she has been a volunteer leader in the non-profit area giving back to her community and advocating for the opens spaces that she loves. One of BCHP’s latest programs is the Audubon River Pathways Program that introduces students in science and land management careers (includes preservation of sites). The other program is the Smithsonian Museum-on Main Street’s Water/Ways program. BCHP applied to have this program as a way to increase our impact to the larger region, expand our donor base, and involve new partners.
