Annie Lutes is an archaeologist, architectural historian, and project manager for SWCA Environmental Consultants in Flagstaff. She received her B.A. in Classical Archaeology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She received her M.A. in Near Eastern Studies from the University of Arizona in 2007, where she examined how the conflict between Palestine and Israel affected the black-market antiquities trade in the West Bank. She received her MS from Northern Arizona University in Applied Geospatial Sciences, focusing on short- and long-term impacts to archaeological sites resulting from indirect fire effects from both high-intensity wildland fire and lower-intensity, managed fires. Annie is also devout University of Michigan Wolverine.
