Jude Cook

At an early age Jude attended art classes taught by his mother. After high school he completed a graphic design program at Hawkeye Institute of Technology in Waterloo, Iowa. In 1976 he started his own company, which he later moved to Tucson as Cook & Company Signmakers. In the past nine years Jude has restored twenty-three historic neon signs in Tucson, Casa Grande and Silver City, New Mexico. He has served on Tucson’s Citizen Sign Code Committee for ten years, and in 2018 he co-founded the Ignite Sign Art Museum. He also contributed to the recent book SAVING Neon: A Best Practices Guide (San Francisco: Giant Orange Press, 2018).
