Kathryn Turney

Kathryn Turney is the Cultural Resource Manager for Yavapai County and a member of the Cottonwood Historic Preservation Commission. She completed her undergraduate degree at University of Arizona in Anthropology, her MA in Anthropology/Archaeology at Northern Arizona University and recently completed her Masters of Indigenous Peoples Law at the University of Oklahoma. Her interests include historic preservation, indigenous peoples law, oral history and spatial analysis. Kathryn is employed by Yavapai County as the Cultural Resource Manager and is a member of the Cottonwood Historic Preservation Commission, Society for American Archaeology (SAA), Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA), Arizona Archaeological Council (AAC), Society for Historical Archaeology, and the Verde Valley Archaeology Center.
