Kristina Whitney is an archaeologist with the National Park Service, based in Chiricahua National Monument. She has been with the National Park Service for three years, both with the Southeast Arizona Group parks and Chaco Culture National Historical Park. Previously, she worked in the private sector, for both local and international contract archaeology firms. She earned her M.A. from the University of New Mexico in 2017 and her B.A. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2014, although her career started in southern Arizona. Her research interests focus on Spanish colonial archaeology of the New World and Apache archaeology.
