Marilyn Szabo is a photographer who has been capturing striking imagery fueled by her love of history and photography for over twenty five years. Szabo was traditionally trained in photography, receiving her BA from Virginia Commonwealth University in history with a minor in photography. She has been curator of the “At Work in Arizona” collection for 15 years. At Work in Arizona is a collection of historic and current photographs of Arizona’s economic and commercial history over the past century. The exhibit contains over 375 images. In 2014 At Work in Arizona: The First 100 Years, featuring 80 of Szabo’s photographs, was published. Her most recent one person show, Life & Death: Portraits, was at the Mesa Art Center.
