Mick Woodcock is a native of Tucson and graduate of the University of Arizona. He has worked in Curatorial Services at Sharlot Hall Museum since 1979 and is currently the Chief Curator. He is also the curator of the Ft. Whipple Museum which he helped organize. As a life-long student of American history he has specialized in the West with an emphasis on the story of the United States military’s involvement in westward expansion. He is also well versed in Arizona’s history and particularly the years of territorial development. He also works with the living history programs doing research as well as interpretation. His knowledge of Victorian life and nineteenth century material culture make him well suited to this task.
