Roger Brevoort has been a preservation activist and advocate in Phoenix for the past 35 years. He is a preservation consultant with specialization in federal historic tax credits for large scale projects, working independently through his firm, Brevoort Preservation Strategies. He began his career as a staff member of the Arizona State Historic Preservation Office. He played a lead role in designating numerous buildings and districts in central Phoenix on the National Register of Historic Places, and later managed the review of rehabilitation tax credit projects in Arizona. Major projects include the rehabilitation of the 1931 Professional Building and the conversion of the Little Sisters of the Poor facility.
